Baby

Last time I wrote, I was on a Medifast diet which I never got the chance to finish because...I'm Pregnant!  We are just so super excited to be adding to our little family!  I'm 19 weeks today and feeling pretty darn good!  I'm a little tired since the baby tends to suck the life out of me but I haven't been sick this whole pregnancy, just nauseous at times and that is starting to fade. When I was only about 3 weeks into my Medifast I started to really dislike the food.  To the point where I completely stopped eating it.  Turns out, 2 weeks later I find out I'm 6 weeks preggo.  So that explained my sudden urge to throw out all the nasty diet crap.

The morning that I took that pregnancy test, I honestly thought it would be negative.  We have taken so many tests in the months before my pregnancy and every one said negative that we were starting to lose hope.  I waited 2 weeks past my period before I finally took a test since I was very irregular for a long time and I would be a week late and then start a couple days after testing.  I woke up pretty early that Sunday morning and went in the bathroom without any hurry, just KNOWING I wasn't pregnant.  Before I was even finished going to the bathroom that plus sign showed up with a quickness.  I was so stunned!  I just walked back into the bedroom where my sleepy husband had one eye open, thinking the same thing as always.  I started crying and said, "Honey, I'm pregnant!"  He just couldn't believe his eyes...he was so shocked!  He gave me the biggest hug and was so excited. 

We went to the store later that morning to get another test.  One of those digital ones that actually said Pregnant and Not Pregnant.  I took it in the Fred Meyer bathroom and low and behold...PREGNANT!  That was exciting to see it in writing!

We find out a week from today what we are having!  Well, not really.  I go in for my ultrasound but we are having the Dr. put the results in an envelope and then I am going to take it to my baker who will then bake a cake either blue or pink inside.  The outside will be decorated in neutral colors and on the 20th we are going to cut the cake in front of my whole family to find out together what the sex is!  It will be such a fun time!  I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait 2 whole weeks to find out!  I don't care either way what we are having, I just want our baby to be healthy!
